Why:
I chose Romance novels because I enjoy reading most when it is a good love story. Im a hopeless romantic and basically find any love story appealing.  I usually can get hooked on a book pretty quickly when a love story is introduced. Basically, all of my favorite books were romance novels. When I read, I often find myself enveloped in the characters. The book becomes real life for me. I am very excited to keep reading more romance novels over the next semester.


Essential Questions:
Are  romance novels realistic?

Is every romance novel the same?

What do authors bring to a book to set it apart from others?

Why do I find romance so interesting?

Schedule
Weekly: minimum of 95 pages a week
Daily: 13 pages a night
Quarter Goal: Finish at least 5 books by November 2nd

    This font is pretty but a little hard to read. You may need to post it in larger font size if using this cursive one.
    I think you will read through those books more quickly than you have planned to here, so make sure that you have others available to you.

    I like the essential questions you are asking yourself while reading. I would find it interesting to know weather one could look forward to a relationship like in these stories or if these things are unrealistic.

Finished The Beginning of Everything  by Robyn Schneider 1-54 Nicola Yoon is one of the best writers that I have come across. Her short story, The Department of Dead Love in the book Meet Cute is something special. The short story is about breakups and Yoon uses many similies to express what happens. The main character Thomas is still heartbroken over his break up 10 months ago. Thomas gets a relationship autopsy with the help of Gabrielle Lee, the girl who would perform the autopsy. He hoped to get a "do over" which would erase the past ten months of his and his ex-girlfriend, Sammantha's, life and reset the relationship. The Beginning of Everything  by Robyn Schneider 81-165 “Life is the tragedy,' she said bitterly. 'You know how they categorize Shakespeare's plays, right? If it ends with a wedding, it's a comedy. And if it ends with a funeral, it's a tragedy. So we're all living tragedies, because we all end the same way, and it isn't with a goddamn wedding” (Schneider 125) This quote is said by the towns new girl Cassidy. She says this to the main character Ezra after he complains about his life. Ezra was the most popular kid in school playing tennis and being student body president. That all changed when he got in an accident leaving a party the week before from his junior year. The story skips to his senior year and Ezra's life has changed a bit.
